The Rizal Technological University Flexible Learning System (FLEXYS) is the current and new apex of the university’s curriculum design and instructional delivery structure developed in response to the new normal in education. It is the brainchild of the university to empower learning mobility, accessibility, inclusivity, and flexibility through blended and distance learning. The FLEXYS is a structured learner-centered, outcomes-focused, and quality-assured learning and delivery framework devised to systematically embed and implement Flexible Learning Principles in the ICT infrastructure, Academic infrastructure as well as in the quality assurance system in pursuit to the development of new learning infrastructure in the university. It provides gamut and wide range selections of flexible learning modes, models, and options.
The FLEXYS is now the new normal of Rizal Technological University as it continues to deliver quality flexible learning experiences through wider accessibility.
As the university finds ways to reinvent and keep itself innovative amidst the challenges and requirements of the new normal landscape of education, RTU has discovered the means to retool itself and maintain learning continuity through its Flexible Learning System (FLEXYS). The system was initially developed and proposed by the university's Curriculum and Instructional Resources Development Center and eventually adopted by the established Flexible Learning Solutions Committee. And to ensure its potential of redirecting RTU to become an institution capable of operating distance learning, the FLSC and CIRDC continued to develop and seek every opportunity and resource to systematize the application and implementation of Flexible Learning Principles in the university.
Allows wider access to education by providing mechanisms and platforms for teaching and learning
Provides programs and avenues that intend to maintain continuity of education both in the university and extension communities
Ensure that courses and delivery are of quality and gearing toward attainment of quality outcomes
